Fall Trinkets

The morns are meeker than they were -
The nuts are getting brown -
The berry's cheek is plumper -
The Rose is out of town.

The Maple wears a gayer scarf -
The field a scarlet gown -
Lest I should be old fashioned
I'll put a trinket on.

The kids and I have spent the last 6 months living in Wisconsin and so for the first time in the last 11 years I got to see my favorite thing about the Midwest: the fall colors! Wisconsin is so beautiful almost all year round with its forests and lakes, but in the fall the colors are breathtaking.

As the colors worked their way up to their peak, I made an effort to spend the majority of my time outside so I could just soak them in. I finally got in a run at Schmeekle and visited the Dells of Eau Claire and both yielded some nice pictures to share with the rest of the world that has to miss the display.
